THIS IS JUST A REGULATOR FOR THE STATOR'S AC CURRENT GOING TO THE HEADLIGHT (DIMMER_SWITCH).

CT110 owner's Question:

Thanks for the quick reply. Just so I am clear, please comment on several things for me. You said "well you shouldn't need it". Are you saying that I have another problem that needs to be addressed, because your info regarding this regulator seems to insinuate that CT110 owners need this to quit blowing headlight bulbs?

Our Answer:

well CT110's all have a high output stator (compaired to CT90's) and if the original rectifier is bad or has a bad connection, they tend to send large voltage surges to the headlight circut, (yellow_wire) which blows/burns out headlight bulbs. but by using the 95Q regulator if it does send too much voltage it is diverted back to the frame.

Q.

Your description of regulator #95Q indicates that it is for use with "CDI type stators" My 81 CT110 has points and does not have CDI, so will this regulator #95Q work properly with my bike?

A.

yes it don't matter if it is CDI or points
