These seem to be working fine. However they do not seem to be shutting down when full charges reached. So you must not leave your battery connected more than 12 hours.

QUESTION

I realize you guys are busy. I know this is probably because I'm not the sharpest tack in the box but what is the appropriate way to connect this trickle charger to the YUASA battery Y6n5.51D. I purchased both and the extra connector gizmo as well and I'm not sure how to connect this system together. The battery has insulated connectors on the positive side and the charger with connector attached has screw posts. I must be missing something…

_____________________________________________________________________ ANSWER (kind-a)

we sell 100's of these chargers and they are for batterys from bikes made sooner than 20 years ago (ha ha). but they are the only thing available.

i think most people go to walmart in the auto section and get some mini allagator clips to add to the red and black wires, or they just get a 3m wire splicer and leave the extra adaptors in/on the battery all the time.

no real ez answer, but thats all we as vintage bike owners can do nowadays.?
